I'm a recent graduate of General Assembly's UX Design Immersive. Before attending GA, I worked as a photographer, retoucher, and teaching artist.

I've always enjoyed the design process. I became a UX designer through a circuitous route. I worked in commercial photography before getting an MFA from Pratt Institute, where I focused on multi-media installation projects using photography, video, and sound. Playing with type, organizing, editing content, and solving problems – I love it when it all comes together. And I love the research and interview process. So that's where UX design comes in.

My professional philosophy is simple: meet people where they are and then build upon that according to their needs. I come from contrasting backgrounds – one where technical execution is of paramount importance, the other more rooted in storytelling and the concept behind the work.
